Kathmandu — The curfew and prohibitory orders imposed in Kathmandu Valley and several districts due to the Gen-Z movement have been lifted as of this morning.
Since September 9 (Bhadra 24), the Nepal Army had been regularly issuing notices regarding curfew and prohibitory orders. However, no new notice was released today by either the Army or local administrations, confirming that the restrictions have been removed.
With this, daily life in the Kathmandu Valley has gradually begun returning to normal. Transportation, markets, and other daily activities have resumed.
The restrictions were first enforced on September 8 (Bhadra 23) as the Gen-Z movement intensified across the country. Their removal has now brought relief and normalcy to the affected areas.
