The curfew imposed in the Gaur Municipality area of Rautahat District remains in effect on Sunday.
The District Administration Office has informed that the curfew has been relaxed from 6:30 am to 8:30 am today strictly for essential purposes. However, Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal stated that even during this relaxation period, all forms of assemblies, rallies, and demonstrations remain completely prohibited.
From 8:30 am onward, the curfew will continue until further notice.
The restricted area covers from Mudbalwa Gate in the east to Lalbakaiya embankment in the west, from Bam Canal in the north to the Gaur Customs Office in the south within Gaur.
Movement of individuals, gatherings, meetings, rallies, and demonstrations have been banned within the designated area. The curfew was first imposed on Saturday at 1:00 pm following a dispute between local communities. Although the situation is currently under control, the administration has continued the curfew to prevent further violence.
The District Administration has warned that strict action will be taken against those who violate the order and has appealed to local residents to cooperate in maintaining peace.
