The Maharajganj Municipality-2 has lifted the curfew that was previously imposed in Vargadama following local disturbances.
The District Administration Office of Taulihawa issued a notice stating that the security situation has gradually stabilized, and the removal of the curfew is necessary to allow citizens to carry out their daily activities smoothly.
According to the decision of the District Security Committee on Chaitra 10, 2082 BS, the curfew was lifted starting at 9:00 AM on the same day. Earlier, curfew orders had been enforced in various areas of the district from 2:00 PM on Chaitra 7 and 1:00 PM on Chaitra 8.
Assistant Chief District Officer Bhavishwar Ghimire noted that the situation has been brought under control in coordination with stakeholders, and the environment is now conducive for citizens to move freely and conduct their daily affairs. He also urged all parties to exercise restraint to maintain social harmony, peace, and law and order.
