The Nepal Army has relaxed the curfew in the Kathmandu Valley during daytime hours. According to a notice issued by the Army, the curfew will now be enforced only from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM today. It will resume again from 7:00 PM tonight until 6:00 AM on Bhadra 28.
The curfew was initially imposed across the country following violent incidents during the Gen-Z protests, but it has now been limited to the Kathmandu Valley. District Administration Offices outside the Valley continue to enforce prohibitory orders and curfews as required.
Security arrangements remain strict, but with the relaxation, daily life is gradually returning to normal. This morning, the number of vehicles on the road was noticeably higher compared to previous days.
The Army stated that the main objective of the curfew is to control large gatherings and maintain public security.
