The Central Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police has summoned Swagat Nepal (Bhadra Prasad Nepal), a House of Representatives candidate of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
Cyber Bureau spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Deepakraj Awasthi said Nepal was called in as there were some matters that needed clarification.
RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha confirmed that Nepal has been summoned and said they will appear and respond accordingly. Nepal himself also acknowledged that he has been called by the Cyber Bureau and claimed that he could even be arrested. “I was called yesterday and asked to appear. I told them that I am in Jhapa for election campaigning,” he said. “I will come and respond by the day after tomorrow. However, I understand there is a plan to arrest me. Seeing the positive momentum for me and the RPP, they are trying to arrest me.”
