
The death toll from the Gen-Z protests has reached 55, according to Nepal Police spokesperson Vinod Ghimire.
The latest update comes after four more individuals, injured during the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24, succumbed to their injuries.
The fatalities include 21 Gen-Z youths, nine prisoners, and three Nepal Police personnel, including an assistant inspector. In total, the deaths encompass Gen-Z protesters, police, prisoners, and civilians.
During the protests, 18 people died due to fire or electrocution. Some of the injured remain in critical condition, so the death toll may rise further. It is also reported that one Indian national died during the Gen-Z protests.
