The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of a western low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere.
At present, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are generally cloudy. The remaining hilly and mountainous areas across the country are partly cloudy, while the weather in the Terai region is mainly clear.
Saturday Weather Forecast
According to the department, some places in the Terai region may experience morning mist on Saturday. The hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, along with other mountainous areas across the country, will remain generally cloudy, while the remaining hilly regions will see partly cloudy conditions. The Terai region is expected to remain mainly clear.
There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places in the mountainous regions of other provinces. Similarly, one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may also experience light rain with thunder and lightning.
Night Forecast
At night, light fog is likely to occur in a few places in the Terai region. The mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces will remain generally cloudy. The hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, along with other mountainous areas, will be partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience mainly clear weather.
There is also a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, the department added.
