The Department of Passports will remain open even on public holidays. Issuing a public notice, the department stated that despite the public holidays today and tomorrow, it will continue providing services including passport distribution.
The government has declared a public holiday today on the occasion of Gyalpo Lhosar and tomorrow (Thursday) in observance of Democracy Day. On both days, the department will remain open from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
According to the notice, passport distribution services will be provided today. On Thursday, the department will collect application forms for passports.
The department clarified that as it provides essential services, the office will remain open even on public holidays.
