A meeting of the faction led by former president of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, is being held today. The meeting, called in the capacity of the Central Working Committee elected from the 14th General Convention, is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM at Hotel Smart in Dhumbarahi.
The two-day meeting, starting today, will focus on three main agendas, according to former central member Guru Baral. Discussions will cover the results of the party’s internal elections held on Falgun 21, the schedule for the 15th General Convention, and preparations and possibilities for the upcoming convention.
Baral stated that the meeting will review the outcomes of the recent elections and plan ahead for the next convention. Earlier, before the selection of new leadership through a special convention, the establishment faction had already approved the schedule for the 15th General Convention to be held from Baisakh 28 to 31.
Additionally, it has been announced that a gathering of district presidents aligned with the Deuba faction will be convened on Chaitra 19 following this meeting.
