The identities of 28 people injured in the recent bus accident in Dhading have been confirmed by authorities.
The accident occurred along the Prithvi Highway near Charaundi in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality–7, when a passenger bus traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu fell onto the bank of the Trishuli River.
Seventeen people lost their lives in the incident, including 11 men and six women. Among the deceased were one male and one female foreign national.
All 28 injured passengers were rescued from the accident site. Some are undergoing treatment at local hospitals in Dhading, while the majority have been referred to hospitals in Kathmandu for further medical care.
Security personnel from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Army, along with local residents, were involved in the rescue operation. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
