Coordinator of the Rastra, Rastriyata, Dharma, Sanskriti ra Nagarik Bachau Mahabhiyan (National Campaign to Protect the Nation, Nationalism, Religion, Culture, and Citizens), Durga Prasai, has claimed that the current government will not survive under any circumstances.
Speaking to journalists at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday, Prasai asserted that monarchy is essential for Nepal’s unity and stability.
“The King is a unifying force for all. Religion is like the constitution of a nation. We do not accept the current constitution,” he said, adding that the present charter has failed to serve the interests of the country.
He further claimed that the public would soon rally at Nirmal Niwas, the residence of former King Gyanendra Shah. Prasai expressed strong dissatisfaction with recent political developments and the formation of the government under Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
“This government will not last—it came to power through foreign influence and money,” he alleged, vowing that no one could stop his movement.
Prasai stated that his campaign’s primary goal is to re-establish Nepal as a Hindu nation, even at any cost. “I will restore the Hindu state no matter what happens,” he declared.
He also claimed that if he were Prime Minister, he would take action against 400 corrupt individuals within 24 hours. In response to a question from journalists, Prasai revealed that he is preparing to make a major announcement from the Pashupatinath Temple soon.
