Durga Prasai, coordinator of the National, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Protection Campaign, has filed a habeas corpus petition at the Supreme Court.
His son, Nirajan Prasai, registered the petition on his behalf. The hearing is scheduled for Thursday in the bench of Justice Meghraj Pokharel.
Prasai was arrested by police at midnight on Monday based on remarks he had made. He was detained under charges related to disturbing public peace.
