The election for the Chairperson of the State Affairs Committee under the House of Representatives has been scheduled for Bhadra 11.
In line with the provision that the election schedule must be announced 48 hours in advance, Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire finalized the date on Monday.
The position has remained vacant since Bhadra 28, and as per rules, an election must be held within 15 days of the vacancy.
Earlier, former chair Ram Hari Khatiwada resigned over issues related to the cooling-off period in the Civil Service Bill.
