The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has enforced a complete ban on the use of plastic materials within its premises starting today (Tuesday), aiming to promote environmental protection and cleanliness.
The ministry stated that the decision has been implemented to translate its commitment to sustainable development into practical action.
According to the ministry, the policy was introduced to reduce the negative environmental impacts caused by excessive use of plastic and to encourage the adoption of alternative, eco-friendly materials.
To ensure strict compliance, the ministry has already issued necessary directives to all its subordinate bodies and staff.
