 
        Nawalpur – A young man who escaped from Bhimfedi Prison, Makwanpur, during the GenZ movement has been killed in Gandakot Municipality-4, Dharapani, Nawalpur. Prison Administrator Subas Paudel confirmed that Kumal, the deceased, had escaped from Bhimfedi Prison on Bhadra 25.
According to DSP Yubaraj Khadka, Chief of District Police Office Nawalpur, Kumal was attacked with a sharp weapon near a brick kiln in Gandakot on Friday night. He was initially treated at Gandakot Community Hospital and then referred to Bharatpur Government Hospital, Chitwan, where doctors declared him dead at 11:15 PM.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the murder occurred following a minor personal dispute, Khadka said. Based on a complaint filed by Kumal’s sister, police have arrested five suspects in connection with the killing. They are scheduled to be presented in court on Sunday.
Prison Administrator Paudel confirmed that Kumal’s permanent address was Kalika Municipality-4, Padampur, Chitwan. He had been arrested on Saun 3, 2074 BS in a rape case, for which the court sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of NPR 35,000.
