The mother and sister of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali citizen from Kanchanpur who remains in the captivity of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, left for the United States on Wednesday evening to push for his safe release.
Bipin’s sister Pushpa Joshi said their trip aims to increase international pressure for his freedom.
“We are traveling to the U.S. with our mother to raise our brother’s case on the global stage, just as we did earlier in Israel,” she stated. “Since this is an international issue, I sincerely request people from other countries to raise their voices for my brother’s safe release.”
Earlier, the Israeli government had facilitated their visit to Israel to advocate for Bipin’s release. This time, Israel is again supporting their travel, helping them reach the United Nations and other international platforms in the United States to draw attention to the case.
