The family of 16-year-old Inisha BK from Surkhet has received her body, 27 days after the incident.
According to DSP Mohan Budhathapa, the body had been kept at Karnali Province Hospital in Surkhet. The family said the last rites will be performed today at Samjhighat near Bheri Bridge.
The family agreed to take the body after the District Court ordered that four accused in the case be sent to a juvenile correction facility for further legal proceedings.
Inisha had gone out for tuition on the morning of Falgun 23 but was later found dead in a community forest in Birendranagar Municipality–1.
A postmortem report indicated that she was subjected to sexual assault and died due to severe physical trauma.
