Meetings of both houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled for today.
The meeting of the House of Representatives will begin at 1:00 PM. The agenda includes tabling proposals to approve three ordinances. According to Federal Parliament Secretariat General Secretary Padma Prasad Pandey, Home Minister Sudan Gurung is expected to present motions seeking approval for the ‘Voter List (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2082’, the ‘House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2082’, and the ‘Nepal Special Service (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2082’.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly meeting will convene at 12:15 PM at Singha Durbar. During the meeting, National Assembly member Prem Prasad Dangol will present a proposal to elect Lila Kumari Bhandari as Vice-Chair of the National Assembly.
The tentative agenda also includes Prime Minister Balendra Shah presenting the 24th Annual Report (FY 2080/81) of the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal before the assembly.
