A bus accident near Serkatiya in Budhinanda Municipality–7, located in northeastern Bajura, left five people injured on Friday.
According to the District Police Office, Bajura, the bus (SuPra 01001 Kh 3181) heading from Kolti Bus Park of Budhinanda–1 to Dhangadhi via Martadi overturned on the road, injuring five people including the driver.
The injured have been identified as 42-year-old Shankar Raj Sarki and 32-year-old Jayaraj Jaishi of Badimalika–7, 53-year-old Sete Luhar and 44-year-old Jaylal Bik of Budhinanda–1, and 21-year-old driver Tularam Sarki of Gaumul Rural Municipality–6.
They were taken to Kolti Primary Hospital for treatment, where their condition is reported to be normal, said Gagan Bhat, the information officer at the District Police Office, Bajura.
The accident occurred due to the narrow road, according to the Sudurpaschim Transport Bajura Rescue Committee member Ram Chandra Giri.
