Heavy rainfall since Wednesday afternoon has caused flooding in several rivers around the Kathmandu Valley.
Rivers including the Bagmati, Dhobi Khola, Balkhu Khola, and Bishnumati have overflowed due to continuous rain.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged the public to remain alert, warning that water levels could exceed danger marks if the rainfall persists through Wednesday evening.
Experts attribute the intense October rainfall to climate change, which has disrupted natural hydrological patterns.
Last year, heavy floods on October 11 and 12 caused significant loss of life and property in the region.
