Floods and landslides have blocked the Kali Gandaki Corridor and the Ridi–Wamitaksar road section. According to the District Police Office, the road in Rakse, Kali Gandaki Rural Municipality–2, has been completely blocked since this morning due to a landslide.
Similarly, the Ridi–Wamitaksar road in Gulmi has also been obstructed since this morning due to flooding. Inspector Bhupendra Thapa of the District Police Office informed RASAS that the flood from Dahare Khola in Satyawati Rural Municipality–6 completely blocked the road. Both roads had partially reopened on Thursday evening.
He added that continuous rainfall and ongoing landslides from above the road are preventing full reopening. Security personnel, along with necessary equipment, have been deployed to clear and reopen the roads.
