The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that fog and mist are likely to persist in some Terai areas until the afternoon.
According to the division, Gandaki Province is currently experiencing generally cloudy conditions, while the hilly and mountainous regions of the country have partial cloud cover and the rest of the country is mostly clear. In the past 24 hours, light rain and snowfall have occurred in a few high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki Province.
Today, there is a possibility of partial cloud cover in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province, while the rest of the country is expected to remain mostly clear. Light mist is also forecast in a few Terai areas tonight.
The division further estimates that partial cloud cover will remain in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, with weather in other areas staying mainly clear.
