Folk singer Sunita Dulal has released her new Teej song “Chaalise Chura” for this year’s celebrations. Known as the “Teej Queen” for carving out a distinct identity in Teej songs, Dulal continues her tradition of festive music.
The song is composed by Shambhujeet Baskota, with lyrics by Chiranjeevi Bhatt. The colorful and lively music video features actress Eliza Gautam, Sharmila Malla, Hatti Natti, Poonam Shrestha, Jayan Subba Manandhar, and Dulal herself. It has been directed by Tenju Yonjan and released via the “Sunita Dulal” YouTube channel.
Speaking about the song, Dulal said that this year’s Teej number blends cultural vibrancy, tradition, and modern presentation.
Dulal, who has already gained popularity with hit Teej songs like “Nabol Aru Sanga”, “Piyaari”, “Yo Ramailo Tijaima”, “Yespaali Ni Khane Dar”, “Chura Tika Lali”, “Ichchha Puryai Deu”, and “Nachau Sarar”, expressed confidence that her latest release will also win audience hearts.
Although Teej is still a few weeks away, social media has already taken on a festive mood, with dozens of Teej-themed songs and videos being released — among which “Chaalise Chura” is already drawing significant attention.
