Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak is currently giving his statement at the Kathmandu District Government Attorney’s Office.
According to office chief Ram Hari Kafle, Lekhak has been recording his statement for the past two hours. His remand period granted by the court is set to expire today.
Lekhak, along with former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, was arrested last Saturday (Chaitra 14) based on the recommendation of an investigation commission led by Gauri Bahadur Karki.
The commission had recommended legal action against three individuals, including Lekhak, under Sections 181 and 182 of the National Penal Code 2074, accusing them of ordering the use of gunfire during the Gen Z protest movement.
