Former Home Minister and Nepali Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak is holding a press conference today to make his views public regarding the Gen Z movement. The press conference will take place at the Nepali Congress parliamentary party office and will focus on the events of Bhadra 23 and 24.
Lekhak had resigned from his ministerial post on the evening of Bhadra 23, citing moral responsibility after incidents during the Gen Z movement resulted in loss of life and property. On the following day, Bhadra 24, incidents of vandalism and arson targeting public and private property were reported in Kathmandu and other major cities across the country.
Prior to the press conference, Lekhak is scheduled to appear before the investigation commission today to record his statement regarding the incidents. After completing his statement, he will present his detailed position to the public from the parliamentary party office, according to his personal secretary Janak Bhatt.
