On the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, former King Gyanendra Shah has extended best wishes for peace, happiness, and prosperity to all Nepalis.
In a message issued today, Shah informed that unlike in the past, he will not be offering tika and jamara to the public this year.
He stated that the sacrifices and contributions made by Nepal’s forefathers to safeguard the nation’s unity, integrity, sovereignty, and independence remain the backbone of the country’s existence, dignity, and glorious culture.
Highlighting the importance of the younger generation, the former monarch said that youth are the foundation of the nation’s future. According to him, only their patriotism, energy, and innovative thinking can lead Nepal toward becoming a stronger, prosperous, and self-reliant nation.
