
The office of Israeli President Isaac Herzog has announced that former U.S. President Donald Trump will be awarded Israel’s highest civilian honor in recognition of his contributions to strengthening U.S.–Israel relations.
President Trump has arrived in Israel, where he was warmly welcomed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Following his visit to Israel, Trump is scheduled to travel to Egypt, where he will hold discussions with other world leaders regarding peace efforts in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Hamas has released seven Israeli hostages, all of whom have safely entered Israel, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The freed hostages are being received in southern Israel, where they will undergo initial medical evaluations and be reunited with their families.
