Four people were injured when a passenger bus and an oil tanker collided on the East–West Highway in Gaindakot, Nawalpur.
The accident occurred on Friday afternoon when a bus (Lu 2 Kha 6828) traveling from Butwal to Birgunj collided head-on with an oil tanker (Lu 2 Kha 61) coming from the opposite direction.
According to police, the injured include tanker driver Tilakram Yogi Tharu (56) of Madhyabindu Municipality–8, bus driver Bikash Nyaupane (37) of Rambha Rural Municipality–3, Palpa, and bus passengers Gangakumari Giri (33) and her 7-year-old daughter Arpana Giri of Bardaghat Municipality–2, Nawalpur.
District Police Office spokesperson Madhu Nepal said that all the injured are undergoing treatment at the Old Medical College, Chitwan.
