At least four people have died and two others were injured in separate road accidents in Dhanusha District, Morang District, Arghakhanchi District, and Sarlahi District, police said.
In Sabaila Municipality>-9 of Dhanusha, a motorcycle rider died after a car hit his bike on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Saroj Yadav, 30, of Shahidnagar Municipality>-1, Kumkaran. He was seriously injured in the crash and later died during treatment at Provincial Hospital Janakpur. Police have taken the car driver into custody.
In Jahada Rural Municipality>-1, Bhutaha of Morang, a motorcycle with an Indian registration number lost control and crashed on Sunday evening, killing Shravan Rajbanshi, 35, a resident of Bihar, India. He died at the scene.
Similarly, a tractor accident in Panini Rural Municipality>-8, Koldanda of Arghakhanchi claimed the life of Pantram Chaudhary, 40, originally from Kapilvastu District. The tractor went out of control on Sunday evening. He later died while receiving treatment at Provincial Hospital Butwal.
In another incident in Kabilasi Municipality>-8 of Sarlahi, a cyclist died after being hit by a motorcycle on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Ram Naresh Mahato, 65, a local resident. He died during treatment at Provincial Hospital Malangwa.
Two people riding the motorcycle involved in the Sarlahi accident were injured and are currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.
Police said investigations into all the accidents are ongoing.
