A free bus service has been launched to assist passengers stranded by landslides at Tuiun Khola along the Narayangadh–Muglin road section.
According to Superintendent of Police Govinda Puri, the Nepal Police began operating the service after landslides blocked the road on Tuesday, leaving many travelers stuck for two days. Two buses from the Police School in Shantipur are currently providing free transportation.
The service is aimed at passengers who have reached the Five-Kilo Bridge area via the Tanahun route. “We have arranged free buses to transport travelers from the landslide-affected area to Bharatpur,” Puri said. Initially, passengers were picked up directly from the landslide site, but from today onward, buses are being dispatched from the Five-Kilo point after receiving reports of stranded passengers.
The road remains closed due to recurring landslides, and clearing work is ongoing. Authorities estimate that the debris may be removed by Friday. The section had reopened briefly after a landslide last Friday but was blocked again on Tuesday.
