The government has decided to bear the full medical expenses of security personnel injured during the upcoming House of Representatives election.
Making public the Cabinet decisions of Falgun 12 (Tuesday), government spokesperson and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal said that the state will cover all treatment costs for security personnel and election police injured while on duty during the election period. In case of death in the line of duty, financial assistance will be provided to the dependent family members.
The Cabinet has also decided to declare a nationwide public holiday from Falgun 20 to 22 in view of the House of Representatives Member Election scheduled for Falgun 21.

- Postponement of the 10th National Games scheduled in Birendranagar, Surkhet, to a suitable date after the upcoming election.
