Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has congratulated Dr. Amresh Singh on his victory in Sarlahi-4. Thapa extended his congratulations via social media shortly after being defeated by Singh.
Thapa wrote, “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Amresh Singh on being elected from Sarlahi Constituency No. 4.” He also expressed gratitude to the voters for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to continue working to address the issues of Sarlahi.
“I sincerely thank all the voters of this constituency who gave me their love, trust, and votes,” Thapa stated. “I will continue to take initiatives and do whatever is possible within my capacity to address the problems I have observed in this area.”
In Sarlahi-4, Thapa was defeated by Singh of the Rastriya Swatantra Party by over 12,000 votes. Singh received 35,688 votes, while Thapa secured 22,838 votes, resulting in a margin of 12,850 votes.
