Gagan Thapa, General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, has also been recommended as a candidate from Sarlahi for the upcoming House of Representatives election.
For the election scheduled on 21st Falgun, Thapa has been recommended from Kathmandu, Dhankuta, Rolpa, and now Sarlahi as well.
The Regional Committee meeting has recommended Thapa as the direct candidate from Sarlahi Constituency No. 4. Alongside Thapa, Madhesh Province Assembly member Birendra Prasad Singh has also been recommended as a candidate from the same constituency.
In the 2079 election, independent candidate Amaresh Kumar Singh was elected from Sarlahi-4. Thapa, meanwhile, has been consistently winning elections from Kathmandu Constituency No. 4.
