Ganga Sonam has been declared the winner of Nepal Idol Season 6. At the grand finale held in Lalitpur, she surpassed the other top four contestants to secure the title. As the champion, Sonam received a cash prize of NPR 25 lakh.
In the competition, Babita Thapamagar finished second, Darshana Gandhari came third, Abhinay Khati secured the fourth position, and Milan Manandhar stood fifth.
During the award ceremony, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvisubba Gurung congratulated the winner, remarking that “Nepal Idol is a flagship program of the country. Since its inception, it has inspired the launch of many other competitions. Nepal Idol will always remain a leading platform.”
The sixth season of Nepal Idol began on Jestha 2, 2082 B.S. (May 15, 2025) with renowned judges Nhyoo Bajracharya, Indira Joshi, and Kali Prasad Rijal. The grand finale opened with performances by Babita Thapamagar, Milan Manandhar, Ganga Sonam, Darshana Gandhari, and Abhinay Khati, in that order.
