Gen-Z Movement Nepal has demanded that the government immediately make public the report of the investigation commission formed to probe the incidents that occurred during the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24.
Issuing a statement on Saturday, the organization said the truth behind the killings, arson, and violent incidents that occurred during the movement must be revealed and those responsible should be brought under legal action.
The group stated that justice and stability cannot be established in the country unless the report is made public. It also said that keeping the investigation report confidential while calling for transparency and accountability is completely unacceptable.
According to the organization, attempting to move forward with any political process by hiding the truth or protecting the perpetrators would go against public sentiment and democratic values.
Gen-Z Movement Nepal has also clearly stated that a new government should only be formed after the investigation report is made public.
The organization has announced a peaceful protest today at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu and has appealed to the public across the country to participate in protests simultaneously.
