Gen-Z activists became agitated after failing to meet Prime Minister Sushila Karki to submit a memorandum regarding the news published about her personal secretary, Adarsha Shrestha.
The Gen-Z group reached Singha Durbar on Monday to hand over the memorandum. However, even after waiting for hours, they were unable to meet the Prime Minister, leading to frustration and loud protests.
They accused the government of promoting nepotism and favoritism.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Karki’s chief advisor, Ajaybhadra Khanal, said that the government is serious about addressing the demands of the Gen-Z generation. He stated that the government is committed to controlling corruption, ensuring good governance, and ending nepotism and favoritism.
Speaking to the media, he said, “The government is serious about addressing their demands. This government was formed to maintain good governance and end nepotism and favoritism. Regarding their complaint of not being able to meet the Prime Minister, we will arrange a meeting at an appropriate time.”
He assured that Gen-Z representatives will be provided an opportunity to meet the Prime Minister at a suitable time.
