Gen Z youths staged a demonstration at Maitighar, Kathmandu, on Friday, calling for unity among young people and urging that the sacrifices of martyrs should not be forgotten.
The young generation emphasized the need for good governance, accountability, and meaningful change in the country while honoring the contributions of martyrs. Participants in the protest highlighted that the dreams of the martyrs must be fulfilled by holding both the government and society accountable.
A representative of Gen Z United said, “The martyrs sacrificed their lives for the nation, but their dreams remain unfulfilled. We are here united to demand change and to honor the martyrs.”
Gen Z United has previously organized demonstrations at Maitighar Mandala to raise pressure on various social and political issues. During the protest, the youths demanded good governance, a corruption-free society, and greater youth participation in nation-building.
