GenZ leaders have announced that representatives from all 77 districts will come together to prepare a unified document. Writing on social media, Raksha Bam stated:
“Representatives of GenZ demonstrators from all 77 districts will work on a single joint document. We will gather together to put forward our demands, establish contact with everyone, and within a few days, we will present those demands to the President as well as the Army Chief, representing all participants.”
She mentioned that after reaching an agreement to present a joint demand, she and some colleagues decided to step out of the ongoing discussions. According to her, their main stance is that “the future course of the state must be determined by GenZ.”
Bam further explained:
“Our main position was that the path ahead for the state must be decided by GenZ.”
She added that when discussions began moving against the basic principles of the movement, she, along with some friends, withdrew. “Today we had gone to the Nepal Army headquarters to hold talks with other GenZ groups. But as the talks started to go against the basic norms of the movement, I and some colleagues immediately walked out.”
She also revealed that after the topics of the Rastriya Swatantra Party and Durga Prasai were raised during the discussion, she and a few others decided to leave the meeting.
