
A young girl died after being swept away by a stream in Kavrepalanchok, while a youth has gone missing in the Sunkoshi River.
According to police, an approximately 11-year-old girl was swept away by Debar Khola in Panauti Municipality–1. Her body was recovered around 5 PM on Thursday evening. The identity of the deceased has yet to be confirmed, and the body has been kept at Shree Memorial Hospital in Banepa for postmortem.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old youth went missing in the Bhotekoshi River at Dolalghat on Thursday afternoon. Police said Mahesh Darji of Ritthe, Bhumlu Rural Municipality–1, was swept away while attempting to save his pressure cooker that had fallen into the river.
Darji had been residing near the Dulaleshwar Temple in Bhumlu–8. Armed Police and Nepal Police teams have been mobilized to search for him.
