The name of CPN-UML leader Gokul Baskota has been solely recommended as the candidate from Kavre Constituency No. 2. Baskota has previously been elected to the House of Representatives from the same constituency in the 2017 and 2022 elections. As his name has been recommended as the only candidate, it is almost certain that he will contest the election from this constituency, although the final decision will be made by the party’s central leadership.
