Kathmandu — The prices of gold and silver declined in the Nepali market on Thursday compared to Wednesday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold dropped by NPR 2,900 per tola, while silver decreased by NPR 100 per tola.
With the latest decline, hallmark gold is being traded at NPR 285,600 per tola on Thursday. A day earlier, on Wednesday, gold was priced at NPR 288,500 per tola.
Similarly, the price of fine silver, which stood at NPR 4,920 per tola on Wednesday, has fallen to NPR 4,820 per tola.
The highest recorded prices so far were on Magh 15, when gold reached NPR 339,300 per tola and silver climbed to NPR 7,505 per tola.
Market analysts say that fluctuations in the international market, along with demand and supply conditions, continue to influence price movements in the domestic market.
