Kathmandu — The price of gold and silver declined in the Nepali market on Thursday. Compared to Wednesday, gold dropped by NPR 4,300 per tola, while silver fell by NPR 150 per tola.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Association, the price of minted gold was NPR 294,700 per tola on Thursday, down from NPR 299,000 per tola on Wednesday.
Similarly, the price of pure silver decreased from NPR 5,025 per tola on Wednesday to NPR 4,875 per tola on Thursday.
The highest price for gold and silver in recent times was recorded on Magh 15, when gold reached NPR 339,300 per tola and silver traded at NPR 7,505 per tola.
Market analysts attribute the fluctuations in local gold and silver prices to changes in international markets as well as shifts in supply and demand conditions.
