
On Tuesday, the third trading day of the week, gold prices in Nepal surged by a staggering Rs. 8,100 per tola in a single day, reaching an all-time high. With this significant jump, the price of gold in the Nepali market has neared Rs. 250,000 per tola, an unprecedented level.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold reached Rs. 248,500 per tola on Tuesday — the highest ever recorded in the country. Just a day earlier, on Monday, gold was traded at Rs. 240,400 per tola.
Silver Also Hits Record High
Silver prices also saw a sharp increase on Tuesday, rising by Rs. 105 per tola, and setting a new record. The price jumped from Rs. 3,220 per tola on Monday to Rs. 3,325 per tola — the highest silver price ever recorded in the Nepali market.
Both precious metals are experiencing historic price surges, reflecting global market trends and local economic factors.
