Gold prices continued to rise in the domestic market on Tuesday, while silver prices declined.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold increased by Rs 2,500 per tola compared to Monday.
With the latest hike, hallmark gold is being traded at Rs 328,600 per tola on Tuesday. On Monday, gold had risen by Rs 5,600 per tola and was traded at Rs 326,100 per tola.
Meanwhile, the price of pure silver, which was traded at Rs 6,020 per tola on Monday, has dropped to Rs 5,815 per tola on Tuesday — a decrease of Rs 205 per tola compared to the previous day.
In the international market, gold is currently being traded at USD 5,365 per ounce.
