The price of gold increased by Rs 800 per tola on Wednesday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has been fixed at Rs 254,100 per tola for the day.
On the previous day, the price was Rs 253,300 per tola. Earlier, on Ashoj 31, gold had reached a record-high of Rs 258,000 per tola, which remains the highest till date.
While the price of gold has been unable to break the one-and-a-half-month-old record, silver prices have been setting new records for the past four consecutive days.
On Wednesday alone, silver rose by Rs 110 per tola. After remaining at Rs 3,545 per tola the previous day, silver climbed to Rs 3,655 per tola today. Since last Sunday, silver has been breaking its own record each day and continuing its upward trend.
