The government has approved the National Policy Against Human Trafficking, 2082. The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting held on Poush 28.
Making public the Cabinet decisions, government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel said the Cabinet has also decided to recommend to President Ramchandra Paudel to convene the National Assembly session of the Federal Parliament on Magh 4 at 11:00 am.
According to him, the Cabinet approved the transfer of eight first-class gazetted officers of the Nepal Judicial Service (Law Group) and the promotion and posting of eight second-class gazetted officers to first-class positions.
The government has also approved the participation of Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Dr. Madan Prasad Pariyar in the 49th Session of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), to be held in Rome, Italy, from Magh 26 to 28, 2082.
Key Cabinet Decisions:
- Recommendation to the President to convene the National Assembly session on Magh 4, 2082, at 11:00 am at the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Singha Durbar.
- Approval to pay USD 283,503 as Nepal’s annual contribution for 2024 to the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD).
- Approval for Finance Ministry Secretary Bhupal Baral to attend the FATF Plenary Meeting on AML/CFT in Mexico from Magh 26 to Falgun 1, 2082.
- Approval of the Financial Sector Development Strategy (2082/83–2086/87).
- Approval for a Nepali delegation led by Industry, Commerce and Supplies Ministry Secretary Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire to attend the third Nepal–China Coordination Mechanism Meeting on Border Trade and Cooperation in Lhasa, China, on Magh 6 and 7, 2082.
