The government attorney has requested that former Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak be held in custody for 10 days to continue the investigation.
During the ongoing proceedings at the District Court, the defense lawyers for Oli and Lekhak argued that custody is not necessary. Two petitions were filed today at the Kathmandu District Court—one supporting the required arrest warrant and another requesting a 10-day extension for investigation.
While Lekhak appeared in court in person, Oli, who is currently hospitalized, participated via video link.
