Minister for Health and Population Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam held a courtesy meeting with the Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, H.E. Shmulik Arie Bass.
According to the ministry, the meeting focused on detailed discussions regarding existing and potential future bilateral cooperation between Nepal and Israel in the health sector. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening health service delivery systems, technical cooperation, and opportunities for sharing experience and expertise.
Ambassador Bass expressed Israel’s commitment to providing technical support to help make disaster management systems more organized and effective. He noted that Israel’s experience in disaster management and emergency health services could be highly beneficial for Nepal.
Health Minister Dr. Sharma Gautam praised Israel’s progress in health technology, emergency services, and disaster management, stating that such cooperation would play a significant role in strengthening Nepal’s health system.
Both sides showed a positive outlook toward further expanding mutual cooperation and developing long-term partnerships in the health sector.
