Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has inspected a suitable location within the under-construction Federal Parliament Building Complex in Singha Durbar for the installation of the ‘Gen Z Martyrs’ Monument’.
Minister Aryal visited the site on Sunday along with family members of the Gen Z martyrs, ministry officials, and secretariat members to assess the availability and condition of the area where the monument is planned to be built.
On Bhadra 30, the Cabinet decided to construct a Gen Z Memorial Park in memory of those killed during the Gen Z movement. Later, on Kartik 17, the Cabinet declared 42 Gen Z protesters and 3 police personnel as martyrs.
During the inspection, Minister Aryal also reviewed the progress and technical aspects of the main assembly halls for the House of Representatives and the National Assembly. He received briefings from engineers on the physical progress of the parliament building.
He also inspected other technical and administrative structures currently under construction within the complex.
