Home Minister Aryal: Crime Investigations to Be Results-Oriented
Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has announced that crime investigations in Nepal will now be made results-driven. He said that the investigation process will no longer operate as before and that cases previously stalled under political protection will gradually move forward.
Stressing that no guilty individual should be spared, Aryal stated that even crimes previously halted due to political connections will now enter the investigation process.
While inspecting the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police, he highlighted that the current government aims to overcome long-standing obstacles to good governance.
Aryal said, “What was disrupted in the past due to political ties will no longer happen. The mandate of this government is good governance. Without it, peace and security cannot be maintained. To successfully conduct elections within six months, strong peace and security are essential, and for that, good governance is necessary.”
He also urged investigation agencies to demonstrate professionalism and carry out their duties diligently to ensure justice and strengthen law enforcement.
